“Ama Dablam”

So strange and foreboding
The ridges on your lower slopes
With dark crevices of doom

Glaciers amidst
Ice blue and so cold

But the icing on your beauty
Is your charm at the apex
Such an interesting shape
An oblong standing tall

It makes you distinct
Adds to your beauty
Ama Dablam you are
So much more than a mountain

You will be remembered for certain
And I will return from afar

perplexing

I liked that line, "And I shall return from afar." When you get back, please let us know what Ama Dablam means.

I want to know more.....

This poem is like a tease. It left me wondering why Ama Dablam is "strange and foreboding". I want to hear more about it's beauty. Perhaps there's a sequal?
