She soars high into the crystal clear night sky,
powerful wings spread wide.
Arms stretch towards the heavens,
in silent desperation.
Flying reckless and wild,
speeding out of control.
The cold wind biting her naked body.
Her life sustaining breath forced, ragged and hard.

Looking around, she finds
herself desolate and alone.
She cradles her shivering body,
searching for warmth and comfort.
The Angel comes to a slow halt,
wings gracefully folded against her back.
Inhaling deeply she closes her eyes,
resignation settling deep within her heart.

Silently the lost angel's rapid decent to earth begins.
Soft golden hair streaming wildly behind her,
her head spinning dizzily,
the wind screams in her ears.
A small tear spills from the corner of her eye,
as the void in her heart becomes overwhelming.
She seeks destruction, hoping to end the
hell of her existence.

An angel resigns herself to her fate ~ to be desolate and alone.

A fascinating read of

Heartbreak fantasy and

Romance, perhaps, gone awry.
