If my prayer went unanswered
would I have met you?
Had not met you
would that have been good?
An unanswered prayer
leaves lives less confused.
I’d wish little for you,
more for the love my heart made me choose.
If that prayer went unanswered,
I wouldn’t desire reciprocated yearn.
Good you don’t respond,
my heart wouldn’t survive the affair.
