An Evisceration of Convenience

byjust pet©

Crushed beneath your phantom weight
rent from me, ashroud in blind indulgence
cries muted by machinations
hearts' coffin closed to celestial beatings
by fists sealed tight with abrupted conceivabilities

Sucked into suffocating eternity
shattered dreams
splattered in sanguine culmination
gaping lotus wound exposure
meted out to grasping saving graces

Aphrodite seeking restitution for her desecrated temples
from self embracing priests
leading ovine armies blinded by hot incandescence,
their childish fists blocking guarded ears
shouting down their Mothers' version

Embraceries lewdly clothed in gilded glass integrity
keen to unborn bleatings
echoing in imagined future rooms of worship
with sugar frosted windows
crusted shut by inspired convenience

Eidolon-stalked pregnant moment seeking quietus
forced to march in red inked holy chains
cross tear anointed contracts
drawn up by fingers anesthetized by God's amendent,
palms stained winter black with innocents' blood
