R u still there? Mr. Debonair
Sitting in your underwear
Thinking them both to be so unfair
They just don’t seem to be aware
The efforts put forth when holding a pair
Two women, 1 man it doesn’t seem fair
Expecting those women to have to share

Is it that you just can’t or don’t care
You still don’t admit to these ways of err
Are you all happy, I imagine that rare
Could it be you are the one unaware?

A lot of resentment behind the glares
Glares masking feelings of despair
And fractured hearts in need of repair
Hearts you broke not taking care

Oblivious to all the wear and tear
Or toll it all takes or the crosses they bear
”I love only you” you so easily swear
Then swear again later to the other timeshare

Who knows who who in this aberrant affair
The trust and faith so badly impaired
Why they continue to believe that you care
The answers remain hidden inside you somewhere

Ever prepared for the questionnaires
Who try to trip you up with Snares
To see through all this savoir faire
See what’s behind the laissez fairer

But do you think you’ll be prepared
When finally those tempers dare to flare
Frustrations unleashed into the air
You just might end up solitaire

Perhaps for you the bill of fare
Better would be a Swiss au pair
Never again hear the word share
Maybe then, you could come up for air

Alas, I’m sure you don’t easily scare
You still declare, no 2 time affair
And though you swear there’s nothing there
I warn you, lest you best better beware

Karma kicks those whose thoughts are impaired
By egos Inflated too full of hot air
Calling the shots like some freak doctrinaire
While juggling the hearts of those that once cared

Why don't they look past all the glare
Pack up what’s left and head for the stairs
No, you’re probably right, they’ll never go there
They’d never abandon the corsair they share

Forever tangled in your web like lair?
Unable to wake from this nightmare affair
Together forever because the one man they share
Would have to come clean and he’d NEVER go there

The hundreds of flares and a million said prayers
no more do they notice, no more do they care
Soon it won't matter, there's no need for prayers
Their love has eaten them up and now nobody’s there
THE END

generous affection

Absence makes the heart grow fonder ~ for somebody else. A threesome in conflict.

Welcome to Lit

with a different view

of some men's fantasy ~

one man and two women;

as I've said before,

a split focus is

no focus at all.
