And I Cry

Her skin, soft and smooth, burns me with each touch.
Her smile breaks my heart with a glance.
Anger explodes, destroying what I love.
Edged words cutting deeply

and i cry

Wailing from the inside
Praying she doesn't listen.
Her tears accuse me
Oh, my love, my life
Why me?
My soul is black, my heart is gone, I'm not me.
Someone else used my voice, like it used my body
Coursing through my veins, burying me.

and i cry

Her lips scar my cheek with a gentle kiss
I Love You.
She says.
I'm a monster, just let me be
Find a Man not a Thing.

and i cry

Pain pierces my being once again...an old familiar friend
Disappointment, anger, rage
No peace.

and i cry
