As dawn breaks over a cloudy sky,
She comes home from her partying,
She smiling when they look,
But we all know inside she’s dying,

Without him she thinks she’s nothing,
They don’t understand what she means,
She says she needs him like she needs oxygen,
She’s sick of regretting things she’s done,

She can’t rise above the hurt,
That was inflicted upon her,
And that she inflicted herself,
She closes her eyes but that’s even worse,

She can’t control her thoughts,
Sick of saying sorry for things that can’t be undone,
Sick of talking to them when they’re not listening,
Sick of caring this much, when it hurts like this.

She’s tired of hearing apologies that aren’t real,
Tired of the hurt that is more than skin deep,
Tired of smiling on the outside, crying on the inside,
And the hurting doesn’t stop.
