Verse 1

Well hey, it’s me
No matter how far or wide I roam
There still comes a time when I head for home
Back to the beaches and sun-tanned blondes
Fish and chips, party dips and curling wands

Chorus

And you…
I’ve always had you waiting for me in my mind
You were clever, witty, cool and you were oh, so kind
Smart enough to know to turn and walk away
Why wasn’t I the one to make you stay?

Verse 2

Oh yeah it’s me
The one who shoots his mouth off almost every day
Who’s singularly skilled in tracking down a lay
Romeo could never sing a song like me
And he couldn’t write a love note that would set you free

[Chorus]

Verse 3

Yep, I’m still here
The truth is that I’m tired and it all seems lame
Chasing chicks and late night licks just don’t quite seem the same
Lately all that I’ve been thinking of is you and me
But I know I stuffed up long ago, so how can we
Ever be
The way you know that we could be
I need you and its killing me…

[Bridge]

[Chorus – Repeat and fade]

decision

A wild child grows up ~ matured now knowing what he wants.

May be lyrical in construct,

But would rather see all the words laid out clear,

A far easier task for your reader.
