Tell me, my love ...
are you wearing your wings?
'cause i think you're an angel
of everyday things
your eyes and your mind
are burned in my soul
where i am now -
i can never know
your presence draws me
in like a flame
enticing, inviting,
a most dangerous game
'cause a flame is pure beauty
a good bit of heat
inside the flame
there is something complete
i dance away
then closer still
the flame is calling -
sapping my will
i can't look away -
it's power is bright
it burns in my dreams
in the cold and dark night
do i dare - do i dream
is it all just a laugh
i feel my mind
is broken in half
You soar through the world
like a hawk like a dove
the differences there
speak only of love
i reach and i jump,
but as hard as i try
i can not touch
the sky where you fly
so for this breath
ill just close my eyes
and for this moment
ill hold you inside
where it is safe and warm
and candlelight dim
i will not just wait
for my life to begin
it is here - it is now
the fire is real
later, i will know
what then i may feel
For today, you're an angel
of everyday things
so tell me, my love...
are you wearing your wings?
