I come to you in gossamer and shimmers of gold,
Your angel protector from the cold.
My love is your savior, my heart does proclaim
while it beats with the cadence of your name.

Unfold your body into my soft arms,
I promise to hold you in my wings safe and warm.
Close your eyes, shut out the harsh light
I'll be your angel of the night.

Let me maintain a vigil while you sleep.
I'll fight off those ugly demons that creep,
Into your soul to take you away
to steal you from the light of day.

Come lay your head against my breast,
let me thrill in the rhythm of each breath in your chest.
And when slumber caresses your mind don't fear,
Your angel of the night is here.

comforting

In the stillness of the night ~ a warm fond embrace chases away everything that is bad.
