'walking on broken glass'
April trips to the mailbox
spring training for the soles,
feeling every piece of pine cone
instep landing on every rock,
taking it all in stride

'money can't buy it'.....
that strut of summer confidence
across hot sand and parking lots,
conditioned soles walking tall
while all around others funky chicken
back to shoes, flip flops, or sandals

in the days of summer
there is something eurythmic
about summer soled feet,
nudity below the ankles
building a golden toed foothold
on the toe ring days of our lives

Love it!

It fits the mood of the recent weather, all revved up for summer fun. Terri
