Softly she sighs
soon to scream
pillow lowers to her face
smothering her with its seams

she fights to breathe
can't draw breath
finds herself
out of her depth

just now she trusts
that her fear is good
as my bites marks
show her she should

but not long ago
she screamed for me to stop
afraid my beastial self
would cause her veins to pop

I bite down hard
yet not too deep
and she felt
that her blood did seep

I did this for her
that she might see
so that she might understand
the beast in me

the bloodlust buried
the rage inside
a glimpse of the darker part
that I do hide

I brought it back
under my sway
in time that my feasting
on her could come again another day

What's with veins in poetry this week?

Uh, well... you sound like a vampire with a taste for lessons. You could always just leave a note...
