You once said that I was your past,
But in another lifetime,
We were both embracing the future.

You once said 'I'll see you sometime',
But in another lifetime,
You said "I'll see you tonight".

You once said that you wanted some space,
But in another lifetime,
You wanted only to hold me close.

You once said I couldn't keep my word,
But in another lifetime,
My honor was the foundation of our life.

You once said I taught you to touch,
But in another lifetime,
We learned these things together.

You once said that I was nothing special,
But in another lifetime,
You gave me your heart and soul.

You once said that water was your home,
But in another lifetime,
I taught you to love the mountains too.

You once said that I would lose you,
But in another lifetime,
You vowed to stay with me forever.

You once said I deserved love,
But in another lifetime,
We loved like there was no tomorrow.

You once said that Thialal was the most beautiful,
But in another lifetime,
You thought that honor belonged to Sophia Ruth.

You once said you were looking for love,
But in another lifetime,
It was I who was your one and only.

You once said to fear three little words,
But in another lifetime,
Those words made me happier than you could know.

You once said silence is golden,
But in another lifetime,
We sang beautifully together.

You once said that we had grown apart,
But in another lifetime,
Nothing could separate us but the end.

You once said you would hurt me,
But in another lifetime,
You thought the same thing too.
