Another Saturday night

Watching blue screens and drinking games

That’s alright with me

‘Cause everyone here knows my name

Yet again nothing

No love life, dim lights, an empty bottle

Bye-bye worries

I sit here, pen and napkin to dawdle

It means everything

To be nowhere with everyone, not home alone

Wonder if they know

They don’t have to, in my face it’s shown

Thoughts

Sounds like some late night thinking ~ maybe sitting in a deserted diner ~ alone.

I remember this,

That twentysomething anthem;

Going out each Saturday night

Doesn't matter where

Or doing what;

Just so that you're not alone.
