let me wander away from it all
and take the steps down a path
with white oaks, beeches,
pansies, pentunias, and rose leaves

don't want to hear
about that old stuff, again
don't want to know that
pain was much more permanent
than pleasantries
and birthday parties

want to go on down
that fairy mindscape
of wispy mist, clear spring water,
juniper bushes, and honeysuckle fragrance

and meet him down by the sea
where rage and arguments
are the impossible things

the sea keeps rhythm
to the sound of my heartbeat
and memories of hated days
drown in pink and tangerine waves
while loving hands dispell
all the concerns
of days to come

in sweet embrace
of something like a soulmate -
with all the definitions
taken out of the conversation,
so that the breeze
can speak for us -
the unbearable is dissolved

The carefree feel of the ocean breeze ~ disolves all difficulties.

A nice balance of pain and romantic sweetness,

With the romance winning out by the sea {naturally}

Tough for me to relate

to what is a woman's poem with pansies, pentunias (sic), and

pink and tangerine waves, that being said:

these are powerful lines:

pain was much more permanent

than pleasantries

the unbearable is dissolved

(that I wish I would have writtten)
