Apollo’s Glory

Deep blue, almost black, caressed the Earth in Diana’s silent embrace.
Predawn light kissed the eastern horizon.
Starlings, robins, and sparrows began to chirp and twitter, as the sky lightened to indigo, then violet.
A band of gray-blue arced close to the Earth;
Lingering stars blinked out, surrendering to the new morning.
Venus still shown brightly, not ready to make way for Apollo’s trek from horizon to horizon.

Scattered, fluffy clouds heralded the birth of a new day.
Hues of pink, deep purple, orange and yellow set the sky ablaze.
The sweet, sorrowful song of the mourning dove and the beautiful boastful song of the red cardinal joined the chorus welcoming Apollo’s arrival.
Brilliant light out shined Venus’s radiant beauty.
Apollo’s fiery chariot leapt into the sky.
He looked at the Earth triumphantly;
And smiled at the
Landscape bathed in His glory.

Bathing a beautiful landscape

Such a lovely rendering filled with pleasant images. A definite way to brighten anyone's day who reads this.

One small suggestion is to change:

"welcoming Apollo’s arrival."

to

"welcoming Apollo."

or

"heralding Apollo’s arrival."

This last is my personal choice. Just a suggestion.
