swimming in misplaced kisses
laid in electric latitude;
the shimmering visions of you
that I had before this night
were not ever as beautiful
as the glow of your dampened skin,
and your lazy smile
warms the few places
your tongue hasn't touched.

silent awe and
emerald eyes filled with wonder
clutch my gaze;
calculating their descent
down my body,
taking in the paleness of my flesh
with a soft-edged hunger
before coming to rest
on my shy smile.

you say my name,
whispering it like a sacred mantra;
and my fingers lightly trace your lips
as you tell me you love me -
slowly, deliberately;
again and again,
while a hint of contentment's smile
lifts the corner of your tender mouth.

uncalloused lips meet
as the satin sounds
puncuate the quiet unspoken,
and the crisp linens entangle;
binding us like wrists
to the bed
post.
