Architecture is no more grand
than the smooth alabaster arch
of thighs raised in meeting.

At least,
if there truly is no longer any love
for lofty galleries of
stone made to fly -
a Lust may linger in our hearts
for more wanton imagery:

An orgasmic flight of steps
An undulating window seat
A pouty facade
The protruding lower lip of the windowsill.

A city sighing in the shower
slender rivulets pouring over
the dips in her topography
the cityscape swept clean.

His torso suspended by Arms outstretched
Bridging the shimmering waves
of her form beneath

And everywhere water
Everywhere hidden heat
everywhere reminders of the foundation
of all architecture
the function of all art -
the mingling of human forms
pushing out of the mist.

Welcome!

Three good poems trumpet your arrival in Lit.

"An orgasmic flight of steps

An undulating window seat

A pouty facade

The protruding lower lip of the windowsill"

is wonderful imagery!

Welcome to Lit and well done.

Read your 3 submissions today;

in Eden with arching eyebrows,

with Reminders the Bay windows smile,

and here with stone made to fly ~

are you building a temple here

in words of love

and lust

eternal...
