The pain I thought I would feel
As you walked past me today
Never came into my heart
Telling me we are really okay
We spoke briefly as needed
Our eyes met at times
Our hearts will surely mend
Knowing we committed passionate crimes
At one time we ached for each other
Yet we must remain apart
I now seek the arms of another
No room for you in my heart
