If a mirror could tell no lies
What would I see?
A true reflection?
Or the shadow I hide behind?
In its darkness I hear screams
An endless torment
Stifled and choked into silence
Forgotten in the morning light.
I press my face to its cold surface
And in this window hid my twin
And although I saw rain upon my cheek
Nothing could change my reality.
My face is not my own
I borrowed it long ago
Its not the one I was born with
Its the stranger I now know.
