Some say in life we love but once
We get one true friend
The one that will help us take a chance.

We get this one that will push
us over the hurdle
So we aren't, lonely in the end.

When you feel life is for the strong
it's not true
In the softness of a listening ear

That places our eyes upon the prize
takes our hands
Walks with us until they can let go.

He will let go when we both
don't need the other
For he is my friend, but better he is more of a brother.
