Drawn devotedly
to invisible lines
of leaned back chairs
and crossed arms

you exposed to me
a far-fetched reality
where it was not all about
fingers and curves.

Just a glance or two
felt overwhelmingly right
and seductively wrong
as I leaned over, fishing

for a man’s footsteps
to pound out from a boy,
grasp hands behind my back,
catch the spirit heartily.

So don’t look downcast now
when you could have easily
in a twist, pound and tremble
left in footsteps echoing.

So well done, leaving it to the mind of the reader to complete an excellent drawing.

Very nice

"for a man’s footsteps

to pound out from a boy,

grasp hands behind my back,

catch the spirit heartily."

I do hope you're aware of on how many different levels this is an excellent set of lines. Prosody, rhythm and choice of style changing to reflect every new image, and still, a seamless read.
