Our eyes lock, your love for me is clear,
The love, the passion, the moisture of your tear.
My body opens, my lover rides true;
But in my exstacy I only think only of you.

I squeeze your hand as my passions rise,
Feelings coil within me like a breaking tide.
I close my eyes but I still see you,
It is your love of me that courses through.

Oh lover, husband, it is to you I return,
After both are spent, his love I spurn.
How blessed I am to have you near,
To hold and protect me each day, each year.

As he leaves you claim me with stokes like a dove,
You cleanse me with your passion, with the fire of your love.
You erase the sordid memory with the passion of you kiss,
And reclaim me with your loving gaze that I would forever miss.

I belong to you my love, to you alone, I'm yours;
These interludes I enjoy, are merely a pause.
Teach me to love as selfless as you do,
So that I too may love you, so pure, so true.

Oh gods, I don't deserve this husband, mine so dear,
So help me cherish him and forever keep him near.
To bathe in his constant love, his devotion, his passion,
To make my body and soul his home, his mansion

If you are going to use rhyme......

"yours" and "pause", "rise" and "tide" are not really rhyming pairs. There is so much feeling here, I wonder if the poem would have come across more effectively WITHOUT the rhymes. You seemed to be trying hard to make everything rhyme, and I think the poem sounded more "forced" as a result.

Lovely

Lovely poem - so full of feeling. Wish I could receive love like that.
