Our lives are like ships on the open sea
Sometimes the seas are calm and clear
Other times they are choppy and unclear
We sail aboard these ships towards our own forseen pathways
At the Gates of Perihelion I stand
Naked and in line to be judged
At the Gates of Perihelion
The Charter of my sins are read
But also read and shared is the positives
And the voice at the Gate speaks out
"What have you done for another?"
"Did you love them totally and without price?"
"Did you respect, honour and salute them at every corner?"
"Have you given your whole to this other person"
I answer "Yes" to all.
The voice responds;
"Then enter"
And before me the gates open.
And you are waiting for me with that smile I so fell in love with
The voice says one more thing before I enter;
"Love her, treasure her, and treat her like the Temple of Love that she is"
"Do not fear love, but take it, and take it with both hands"
"Go be with her."
At the Gates of Perihelion
I stand and begin to walk
Through the gates and towards she who my heart yearns for
She is the rock that I set my anchor on
With each step I move closer
And she beckons me
"I Love you" I say
And take her in my arms.
Behind us the Gates of Perihelion close.
My hand goes to her chin and I turn so she looks up at me
Without word, but full of emotion
I lean down and kiss those lips
Those lips which are doorways to pleasures beyond life and death
At the Gates of Perihelion
I stand judged
My soul has been judged and transformed.
The voice issues forth and decrees;
"Petar, I did not judge you, you judged yourself"
"You survived Cancer, you survived death"
"And now what will you do with what you have now?"
At the Gates of Perihelion,
I stand with my Chosen
In my arms I take her, my grip firm
My body pressed against hers as one.
And I know what I wanted
And I know what I will never forego again.
At the Gates of Perihelion,
I break our kiss and whisper to her
"I Love You"
At the Gates of Perihelion,
I desire nothing more than you.
