Aunt Olive is Coming!

Aunt Olive is coming! So, rise and shine!
Aunt Olive is coming and we haven't much time.
So clear the cob webs out of your heads,
Get rid of the dust bunnies under your beds!

Aunt Olive is coming! So clean out your drawers!
Our drawers are places she loves to explore.
Now, straighten those closets; make sure nothing droops!
Our closets are the first place Aunt Olive will snoop.

Aunt Olive is coming! So clean the light switches;
If she finds any smudge marks, Aunt Olive's nose twitches!
Wipe off the baseboards and vacuum the rugs!
Check the light fixtures for any dead bugs.

Aunt Olive is coming! She's hoping to find,
Anything dirty that we've left behind.
So dust all the picture frames, knick-knacks and shelves;
Like Aunt Olive says: They won't dust themselves!

Aunt Olive is coming! In just a short while,
So scrub out the bathtub and clean every tile.
Don't spare the bleach and use all the cleanser!
Scrub everything that disgusts or offends her!

Aunt Olive is coming! Aunt Olive is here!
You can see through the window, so perfectly clear.
We rush out to greet her with smiles and hugs;
She enters our house like she's walking on bugs.

Aunt Olive is leaving! Come kiss her good-bye!
When she's gone, we collapse on the sofa and sigh.
You ask if Aunt Olive's inspection was passed?
Aunt Olive has left us! Who gives a rat's ass?
