Somewhere east of Eden,
Someone sends to me a smile,
Though all around is madness,
In a world so full of guile.

My Land is drenched in honey,
Yet the angels sing so sad,
For my love has left me lonely,
And this silence drives me mad.

So I sing to her in silence,
Silent tears with no surcease,
No broken echoes troubling me,
For this pain has no release.

Have you seen the daylight wander?
Over hills so downy-fair?
Have you ever seen my lady,
With the starlight in her hair?

She'll not dwell in Avalon,
Or ever on this hither shore,
For the road that my love travels
Is for mortals ne'er more.

I have walked in silent wonder,
From the forests to the sea,
Yet in all my sadness wandering,
There's no great a love as thee...
