graceful in his presence
secure in such simplicity
awakened, at last
ay that subtle tone in his voice.

knelt before him ~
embraced like a child;
handled like a woman,
made to feel something
that has never touched me before.

rhythm in our movements,
an ever changing dance,
he led, i followed.
not a question of how or when or why,
not a question at all.

no voices in my head but his,
he called, i answered;
he spoke, i listened,
the day to day
vanished from my thought.

my head rested in his lap
his fingers combed through my hair,
a smile upon my lips,
soft and subtle.
awakened, at last.
