I am mesmerized by the candlelight dancing in your dark eyes
Every little spark giving life to where my heart lies
I never believed that my deepest dreams could come true
But that was before I had the chance to meet you
You bring out the very best of what I want to be
And with a little kindness and caring, you set me free
Now, I sit here holding you by your gentle hand
And try to cope with these new feelings I don't understand
At first I thought I mistook kindness for something more
But now I see you looking at me in a way you didn't before
I try to say something, but you lay a finger across my lips
I look down in surprise to see my hands now on your hips
You lean forward while your fingers caress my face
I reach my arms behind you and gently pull you into an embrace
Suddenly, everything seems so unquestionably right
And in this I see the beginning of many a long night
