Yes this is a multiple part series of short poems dedicated to a very special someone who has been instrumental in my returning to writing. I don't know for sure how many parts it will be so keep checking back

Stepping from the lair from whence my soul did sleep
Lost within the darkness so deep
Into the sun to bask in the light
Sniffing the air for what has drawn me from my own plight
I feel your presense as we draw near
Nothing of worry nothing of fear
I turn to see you in the suns rays you stand all aglow
Radiating love and peace as pure and fresh snow
Ducking behind cover not sure how to proceed
knowing to hurt you would make my heart bleed
So I follow and watch and little gets past my sight
For once these feelings seem so right
I can feel you there whether in sight or not
I can feel your warmth that time may have forgot
I can see and feel the pain and the sorrow
I know that you only hope for a better tomorrow
I can't promise the world for it for all to share
Though I can promise to always be there
Open your mind and listen to your heart
for in there we are never far apart
