A week away from you,
and inside a day I'm doubled over
like a deep sea diver with the bends
come up too fast from the depths of love:
like an addict with the shakes
locked in a dry room, retching and heaving
- yes, it's that bad without you,
your absence a fountain of dryness,
a lack so compelling I know that it's vanquishing
is all that I wait for.
