Flipping through pages of my life
I notice my child. My sweet boy,
Arms thrown forward in jolly rife.

I did not know he would destroy.
Unaware of his corruption
I notice my child…my sweet boy.

I could not stop the mass eruption,
Unable to warn the unwanted
Unaware of his corruption.

The fleeting glimpse of the haunted,
Sends shivers running up my spine
Unable to warn the unwanted.

To think that sweet, loved boy of mine
Could bring them quick to their demise
Sends shivers running up my spine.

Although I do not know his guise
Flipping through the pages of my life,
My sweet babe is the king of lies,
Arms thrown forward in jolly rife.

*Terzanelle
