--------------
My father was an Elvin man
My mother a lizard at that
So I was born with pointy ears
And a tail in the back

I have long flowing hair
And a body full of scales
But my six inch snout is nothing
Compared to my lizard fingernails
---------------

For me, my brother, and my little sis
They’ve made a happy home
Despite their love and our lives
Most people don’t condone

Well it’s hard for me to fit in,
Especially with my kin
For my father’s family shuns me
And my mother’s would do me in.

When I walk into the village,
I’m not surprised at what I find.
The boys all start to laugh at me
And the girls all run and hide.

From my father I study ancient powers
So the villagers will think another way
The boys will run and hide from me
And the girls will swoon and stay.

~~

An amusing little fantasy piece - a nice chuckle at the end.

So different

from any I've seen here. Very nice. I like the rhythm and the story!
