fiction surrounds the senses
struggling underwater hell
stench of a world with
‘truths’ to sell

America plugged in
We all sit down
America entertained
We all fucking drown

practiced smiles
murder never felt so good
plastic faces in a
half shadowed hood

America at war
We all watch the screen
America Secure
We’re all that we see

innuendo, yea they got that
argued semantic spell
get away with what
Stalin couldn’t sell

America the beautiful
We’re stuck in a Hollywood tin
America the athlete
We all fucking love pig skin

fallen ratings
slaughter if we should
shrapnel ridden children in
the shadow where they stood

America weeping
We all hate the terror
America sleeping
We’re all that we err
