come with me into blood
my first real beating
remembered
in a computer monitor

back before G.U.I. (Graphic User Interface)
the time between programs
was blackness

put there by a love
I still don't understand
installing a technology complex

I still don't turn computers off

brother, sister and I
were charged to put keys into our muscles
the combinations of click

errors were soaked in spit, screams
that blew hair back and dried eyeballs
resistance was fought and put down hard

the simple cloth over the hands
make the whole thing a creepy movie
we couldn't  see what we were doing
couldn't see what was really happening

the hard behind the heart in our father
was wirelessly downloading

now we hearts push out
easy to bleed, thumping to ripple skin
under the meat is the steel of stubborn
we resistance to change stuck like keys on a board
