I, the swell, the long ending of waves
You, the beach, resisting as endlessly
I lap upon your glittering grains, taking
You away, then spitting back to shore
With roar of Thor I beat every inch
While you bound to earth just lie there
Whipping you as the sun rises on my end
A day long dance until it slips silently behind
Your rolling dunes piled from storms past
All night as the winds whip up my fury
Yet, you forever remain, pristine snowy white
Eternal dance of two opposites, inseparable
