It was the same pitch black alleyway
With the wolves soon chasing behind.
The walls would slowly cave in
And her chest would tighten,
Her breathing quicken.

The moon lay silently in wait
With the mist making it all too hallowing.
They would all come out soon
Snapping at her heels,
Eager for her.

She would have to hurry
Or she would be captured,
Taken hostage from this dark place
To an even drearier and more horrific one,
Surrounded by them.

Here they would steal her being
And torture her mind, repeatedly,
Making her spiral downwards
Out of control
Until she broke, under their influence.

But struggling with herself
She had made up her wavering mind:
With them would be easier.
How could it be any worse than here?
In this mess she was already in...

She let them,
So they came.
Lurking in the shadows,
Seizing her body,
Leaving no mercy in their tracks.
