Because of you
               I became the woman I am
               I changed my life plans
               I fought for our right to marry
               I believed in forming a family

Because of you
               I found myself on the edge
               I lost track of life
               I feel emptiness all around and
               inside me
               I have lost all hope towards a
               happy ending

Because of me
               I need to find hope again
               I need to love again
               I need to look ahead
               I need to live

Because of me
               I am alive once again
               sometimes in happiness
               sometimes in pain
               sometimes going back
               and other times going forward
               My life is in my control again
