When I told you that I loved you
You told me never to speak to you again
Because I didn't really love you
And I walked away, even though it broke my heart
But I couldn't believe you

As the sage tells us
If you love someone
Set them free
So I did
Because I believed in you

And when you came back into my life
And you told me that I still had a chance
My long dead hopes were ressurected
And I began to live again
Because I believed you

And when you shared with me
The most intimate details of your life
Your sorrows and your joys
I felt closer to you
Beause I believed you

And when you told me
That this one or that one
Would be the love of your life
I died a little inside
Because I believed you

And when you told me
That this one or that one
Had broken your heart
I was there for you
Because I believed you

And when I told you again
That I was in love with you
You told me that I wasn't
That I just wanted to fuck you
Now I can no longer believe you
