Bedtime Fear
by A.G. Hamilton
Dieing embers of golden light,
signals the return of the cold dark night.
The children quake on their quilted bed,
in fear of creatures not quite dead.
Flickering shadows, moans and groans,
imagining fiends surrounding their homes.
Their eyes slowly close as sleep draws near,
their tucked safely away with nothing to fear....
