You left a ring
around my tub
A crack
around my heart
Never thought our lives
would completely fall apart
You may have the diamond
but I have your greatest prize
42 pairs of your shoes
You left before
the dawn
Hasty bag was packed
heard the screen door slam
followed dropped drawers
scattered through the shack
Almost caught you darlin'
as I raced across
the lawn
Slung gravel
then you'se gone
You left a
skid mark on my drive
Dust cloud in my eyes
I guess you leavin'
ain't too much
a surprise
Forget those shoes
I'll keep 'em
get on out of here
So long, goodbye, farewell
Kiss my ass
then go to hell
I'm happy
I still got the dog

As I read, I wondered why the title was "Beer Song". Well, d'oh, me. Here, have a :rose:, Harry. Strong emotion in this, I feel the pain. Well written, the scene is vivid. A small smile at the mention of the shoes, but quickly gone.
...had to laugh at Desejo's comment, though. :)more...
