Before you there was only emptiness
A hole buried deep inside
My own great abyss
Before you there was sorrow
A knife twisting in my heart
My own little agony
Before you there was no passion
A bleakness always expected
My own stark icehouse
Before you there was no joy
A numbness surrounding me
My own lonely cocoon
Before you there was only hurt
A pain burned in my brain
My own prickling torment
Before you there was no music
A monotony filled my mind
My own ticking metronome
I lay before you stripped bare
My mind laid completely open
And none of what's been before
Exists in me any more
There is only You because I am Yours
