since i wrote a poem
never was one to write
when i'm happy.
i'd rather soak a page
with grief, anguish and rage.
i'd rather slice the screen
with unrealized dreams.
unspoken screams
crumble in rhyme.
we swore Goddess joined us
before this lifetime.
"Mind to mind"
was a phrase
carelessly dealt.
"Heart to heart"
lost its meaning
when it left a red welt.
"Together forever"
was a measured lie.
"Never to part"
meant til something
better came by.
its been so long
since i wrote a poem
but now its time
to search deep,
face my fears.
i'd rather lay bricks,
build a wall twice as thick
than the one that you
broke through
last year.

I was fascinated by some of your ideas, but distracted by the rhyme and 'almost rhyme'. The whole piece came close to capturing a truly poetic feeling in its underlying freedom.
