Over there, behind that mountain,
Is some flat land and some hills.
Much like where I stand now.
It’s just a different place
Made of different dirt.
Similar, but not the same.

Over there, there are people.
Assholes, pricks, a couple of good ones.
They live long, boring lives.
They tell many foolish lies
To entertain themselves and their friends,
Like they do here, but with different lies.

Over there, they love and hate.
Sometimes they kill, others they breed,
Make babies because they can.
The babies become children,
Children become adults,
They grow old, and, like here, they die.

But over here we hate them,
And, I’m sure, they hate us.
To each other, we are strange,
Alien unwanted puzzles
Painful to solve
Therefore unsolvable.

Sameness.

All places have things in common ~ all people have certain desires and feelings.

~~

It's all an ingrained part of human nature, though some ingrain the hate into their society better than others.
