if you enjoy this creative work:

When we love someone,
they're focused.
When we hate them,
they're obsessed.

When we love someone,
they have great attention to detail.
When we hate someone,
they are nit-pickers,
or even,
have an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

When we love someone,
just... perceive them,
subjectively,
they are passionate.
When we hate someone,
need to judge them,
objectify them,
they become: manic,
delusional,
out of control.

When we love someone,
they are beautiful, strong, capable.
When we hate someone,
they become ugly, weak, lazy, unreliable.

When we love someone,
they are unique.
When we hate someone,
they are strange.

When we love someone,
they are self-assured,
confident, and
professional
even in personal matters.

When we hate someone,
they are narrow-minded,
arrogant, and
a total bitch.

These extremes hold,
not only when we judge others,
filtering our perception,
but also,
and more importantly,
they apply when
we think of ourselves.

Do we love ourselves?
Do we judge ourselves?
Do we perceive,
or do we cast judgement?

Do we hate ourselves,
Do we kill ourselves,
Little by little,
or do we love ourselves,
truthfully?
