See her lying in her crib, as sweet as she can be.
Biting on her binky, no one half as cute as she.
Daughter of my daughter on her banky made of fleece,
Sleeping in her innocence with dreams of love and peace.
When she wakes up crying, ev’rybody comes a’rush.
Pick her up and cuddle her and pat her little tush.
Let her crawl around the house beneath our watchful gaze
Keep her out of danger, give her only happy days.

Mostly I write extremely dirty stories on this site but sometimes I like to write a poem about one of my grandchildren. I’d appreciate it if you let me know what you think of it and of her. I wish I could include a picture of her but that is against the rules.
