Birds

I hear them at the same time
Every morning, I am Awakened.
They call to their mates
And protect their space.
The Chirps and Songs
A joy to my ears.
They quiet in the day.
At the end of the day
They sing their songs.
Come Home, Come Home.
Our children await.
The night settles in.
The birds rest.
They awaken me the next morning,
With their songs so blessed.
Thank You. Thank You
For the birds I hear.
I love the song that a so very near.
