Birth and Fire

From bloody birth to funeral pyre
Our lives are lived of dance,
Struggle, denial. and desire

The balance of a life so hard to measure
To live for the future, or now for pleasure

Legacy of life's branches, and eddys
Intertwined limbs, unstable or steady
We pay, and only may take our chance
To stumble, stride, or gracefully dance

It's not how we dance ~ but the tempo we chose to dance too.

Birth and death; it's the time in between that makes life such an interesting occurrence.
