Click hereI have two wishes on your birthday.
The first, to entertain.
The second then, Dear Mother…. Friend,
To do and not complain.
In way of entertainment
I offer up this poem.
And if your guests should make requests,
It’s up to you to show em.
If you decide this verse to hide
From this then don’t refrain.
For tis you my Dear Sweet Mother
I hope to entertain.
Now of this second wish of which
I’ve mentioned up above,
To do and not complain, for you,
To show you all my love.
A ‘Birthday Wish’ Dear Mother
I’ll grant for you this day.
So take your time while through this rhyme
Considering what to say.
Consider compensation not!
That’s an impracticality!
A debt so great I can’t relate
For all you’ve given me.
Consider asking only then
What’s possible to give.
Consider not to ask for what
Has passed on through times siv .
Consider if you wish, to wish
A thousand wishes more, or,
Just one wish in particular
Which a Mother might implore.
Also consider that I know
That all my ‘Dreams Come True’
Have come to pass at long and last
When God gave Me to You.
Now make ‘That Wish’,
For what You wish,
And know it will be done!
For if I never grant another wish,
This One I Will,
Your Son.
