I’m courting me a black girl,
dark eyed and thick hipped.
She kisses like
clover honey.
I’ll wrap her around me
hot and sweet
and forget
everything but her breath
against my cheek
and her heartbeat around my hand.
I’m gonna
kiss the base of her neck
where she smells like sunlight,
skin hot and pliable.
Damp and salty with sweat,
she tastes like sea side taffy.
I can’t help but bite.
I will
make her a sweet grass ring,
talk her into laying down
in calf high clover,
so I can touch her secrets
and breath her in.
She is dark as growing soil
where all good things take root.
Damp, wet and rich,
I’m going to plant me deep,
and sigh in the beauty of her.
