there is time
to burn and a burning
restless, crackling twigs
laid open just so
an ache and scrape
a flare of heat
whiff of ignition
if I have to I'll
toss the match myself

NEVER FORGET SCOUT TRAINING

on how to begin a fire in the wilderness. TK U MLJ LV NV

works well metaphorically

making it a passionate little piece; if intended to be read 'flat', it still has something going for it. 'there is time/ to burn and a burning', 'an ache and a scrape/a flare of heat/whiff of ignition', all pull me in on this. the last two lines speak of the desire for conflagration, whether it's erotic or otherwise - though i'd assume a pyromaniac gets something akin to the kick of sexual fulfilment when they torch something.

This is a cool little poem. It's getting a recommend. I would suggest a bit more imagery in it though.
